  1. if i clear the cutoff but i am not in top 15% .is there any scope for me ahead?

    1. You did not understand the pattern i assume. Well i am a NET Lectureship & JRF holder so i can answer your query. Well now to come to your question , the top 15% are only those who clear the minimum cut-off marks and those candidates who qualify within the top 15% quota hv to be under the minimum qualifying cut-off marks. Hence , in order to crack the exam it’s mandatory for you to score the given cutoff marks or above it. The top 15% high scoring is decided first then the qualifying cut-off is being prepared by CBSE. So if you score above the cut-off marks released by ugc net , then you are selected and would be held eligible for lectureship or JRF accordingly. Hope this helps.

        @ aditi

Dear madam.. you are completely wrong patter is as follows

the cutoff for first stage is decided before you write the exam itself..

supposedly 100 out of 1000 students are cleared in first stage by securing minimum marks in all three papers individually, then they are eligible for second and final stage

however here only top 15 of 100 are declared eligible rest not qualified..hope this answers who were in doubt

        Regards
