  • Geologist: 150 posts
  • Geophysicist: 40 posts
  • Chemist: 50 posts

Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water Resources – 29 Posts:

  • Junior Hydro-Geologist (Scientist B): 29 posts

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC 2015 Recruitment

Educational Qualification:

For Geological Survey of India, Ministry of Mines: Masters degree in Geological Science/ Geology/ Applied Geology for Geologist post, M.Sc. in Physics/ Applied Physics for Geophysicist post, M. Sc. in Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry for Chemist post,

For Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water Resources: Master’s degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology: Masters degree in Geology/ Applied Geology/ Marine Geology

Age Limit: Age Limit is 21-32 years for Ministry of Mines Posts and 21-35 years for Ministry of Water Resources

Selection Procedure for UPSC Recruitment 2015

Candidates will be shortlisted for the relevant posts on the basis of their performance in Written Examination followed by Interview Round for Candidates qualified in Written Exam

UPSC 2015 Application Fee

Candidates can pay application fee of Rs. 200/- either by offline or online mode. For offline mode applicants can deposit their application fee in any branch of SBI. For online mode of payment applicants can pay using Internet Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Visa Card etc
